Putra Mosque is named after Malaysia's first Prime Minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj is one of the main landmarks in Putrajaya. Area of the mosque is an area of 1:37 hectares. Entrance of the mosque began at the Main Gate down to the area and Souq masjid.Manakala Putra Square is located within the mosque. Architect who built this mosque is Y. Pts. Dato 'Dr. Nik Mohamad Bin Mahmood from Design Group Sdn. Bhd. Cost of construction of this mosque cost about RM 250 million and maintenance costs estimated RM 100 thousand. The construction of this mosque two concepts: the concept of the Middle East and Traditional Malay.
