FEEL experience rural settings still maintain the tradition of installing homemade lamp quite hard to find let alone when facing the hustle and bustle of life in the capital.
In fact, we have achieved modernization today, made many who prefer to install colorful flashing lights to decorate a welcoming home Aidilfitri.
However, over the years, especially the excitement install thousands of homemade lanterns from waste materials traditionally the population in the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) Tepoh, Kuala Terengganu, Terengganu.
It is more meaningful when the state government took initiative to organize the competition with the Board of Public Pelita State Museum several years ago when it got overwhelming response from the local residents.
This year, there are about 200 residents from five villages in the constituency Tepoh, participate in contests Pelita Super 2012 for three days from 3 to 5 August.
A variety of creative inventions lamps illuminate five villages namely Kampung Padang Hangus, Kampung Raja Tepoh, Kampung Baru, Kampung Pagar Ubi and Village Tokeng in an environment welcoming Ramadan and Hari Raya.
Revenue creative designs such as turtles, airplanes, giant lanterns, four-wheel drive cars, yachts and more colored houses locals.
More interestingly, the participants not only use the ready lamp purchased, but use their own creativity to create a lamp waste from tin cans, milk cans, bottles, bamboo, wood and more.
It not only can help to recall memories of the past which produce their own light while celebrating Hari Raya, but concerned citizens about recycling items.
