National Science Centre ( or PSN ) is a museum on the theme of science and technology in Bukit Kiara , Kuala Lumpur , Malaysia . The National Science Center is a non-formal educational institutions under the supervision of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation . The mission of the Centre is to nurture interest of Malaysians towards science and technology learning throughout life. PSN objective is to promote awareness, understanding and appreciation of science and technology .
National Science Centre was officially opened by the Hon Dr . Mahathir bin Mohamad , former Prime Minister of Malaysia on 29 November 1996. Here , there are a variety of exhibits that are specially designed for the purpose of stimulating, exciting and encouraging visitors to show strong interest in science and technology . Exhibits are categorized into two groups: Basic Science and Technology , and placed in certain galleries based on the theme of its own. Overall, wants to highlight the concept of the center is to link science and the environment to religion , and to relate science with aspects of life , knowledge and apply in their daily activities. In addition , National Science Center also has a new branch in Mount Keriang , Kedah , which opened on March 1, 2010
