Hibiscus, also known as hibiscus flowers and shoes (Hibiscus rosasinensis) is a flowering plant in the genus Hibiscus year is often grown as an ornamental tree.

The hibiscus is the national flower of Malaysia. After achieving independence, the Ministry of Agriculture had been asked to suggest suitable flowers to be chosen as the national flower. At the end of the year 1958, the Ministry of Agriculture has proposed seven types of flowers to choose from as the National Flower

Federation of Malaya, which Kenanga Flower, Hibiscus, Jasmine, Lotus, Roses, Flowers and Flowers Tanjung Cempaka. After discussion at the July 28, 1960, Hibiscus has been declared as National Flower Federation of Malaya. When Malaya merged with Singapore, Sabah and Sarawak to form Malaysia, Hibiscus continue to be used as the National Flower.

This flower is widely planted as an ornamental throughout the tropics and sub-tropics. The flowers are large, red, hard, but not bad.

Various cultivars, varieties, and hybrids have been produced, with flower colors range from white to yellow and yellow brick and soft pink, with both single and double sets of petals. Flowers are used for polishing shoes in most of India.
