Kuala Lumpur

Kuala Lumpur is a huge city with several district articles containing sightseeing, restaurant, nightlife and accommodation listings — have a look at each of them.
Kuala Lumpur (called simply KL by locals) is the federal capital and the largest city in Malaysia.
Literally meaning "muddy river confluence" in Malay, Kuala Lumpur has grown from a small sleepy Chinese tin-mining village to a bustling metropolis of around 6.5 million (city-proper population of 1.8 million) in just 150 years. A cultural melting pot with some of the world's cheapest 5-star hotels, cheap, great shopping, even better food and some of nature's wonders in just an hour away, this dynamic city has much to offer for every visitor.

Kuala Lumpur is a sprawling city and its residential suburbs seem to go on forever. The city proper, is a Federal Territory has an area of 243 km2 (94 sq mi) which consists of the city center and its surrounding urban areas, managed by the KL City Hall. It also merges with the adjacent satellite cities of Petaling Jaya, Subang Jaya, Shah Alam, Klang, Port Klang, Ampang, Selayang/Rawang, Kajang, Puchong, and Sepang, all in the state of Selangor, which enclaves KL, and all with their separate local authorities, creating a huge metropolis called Greater Kuala Lumpur, or more commonly, Klang Valley.

KL Sentral transportation hub in the heart of Kuala Lumpur
The city can be divided into the following areas, each of which offers a particular attraction or activity.
Old City Centre/Old Town[not to be confused with Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC)] – This is the traditional core of Kuala Lumpur where you’ll find the former colonial administrative centre, with the Merdeka Square, Sultan Abdul Samad Building and Selangor Club. This district also includes Kuala Lumpur’s old Chinese commercial centre which everyone refers to now as Chinatown.
Golden Triangle – KL's equivalent of the Central Business District(CBD) located to the north-east of the old city centre/old town. This is where you will find many of the city’s shopping malls, five-star hotels and the iconic Petronas Twin Towers.

Tuanku Abdul Rahman / Chow Kit – This extension of the old city centre/old town is fast regaining its old fame after a decade of slow growth. Located 500 m north of Chinatown and 500 m west to the Petronas Twin Towers, this is the traditional colorful shopping district of Kuala Lumpur north of the city centre that moves into high gear when the festivals of Hari Raya Puasa (Eid ul-Fitr) and Deepavali approach. Located just beside the Golden Triangle (northern neighbour) with many popular budget accommodations. The gigantic Putra World Trade Centre & the traditional Kampung Baru food haven are among the most important landmarks.
Brickfields – This area, located south of the city centre, is Kuala Lumpur’s Little India filled with saree shops and banana leaf rice restaurants. Kuala Lumpur’s main railway station, KL Sentral, is located here.

Bangsar and Midvalley – Located south of the city, Bangsar is a popular restaurant and clubbing district while Midvalley, with its Megamall, is one of the city’s most popular shopping destinations.
Damansara and Hartamas – Largely suburban, these two districts to the west of the city house some interesting pockets of restaurants and drinking areas.
This district also merges into the northern part of Petaling Jaya.
Ampang – Located east of the city, Ampang is home to Kuala Lumpur’s Little Korea and most foreign embassies.

Northern suburbs – This huge area to the north of the city is home to several natural wonders attractions, such as the Batu Caves, the National Zoo and the Forest Research Institute of Malaysia.
Southern suburbs – This district may not interest travellers much, although Kuala Lumpur’s National Stadium and National Sports Complex Bukit Jalil and Putrajaya are located here.

Terengganu City

Kuala Terengganu (Jawi: كوالا ترڠڬانو; colloquially abbreviated as KT) is the largest city as well as the state and royal capital of Terengganu state, Malaysia. On 1 January 2008, Kuala Terengganu was awarded city status. The city has a population of 343,284 and is also the seat of a district of the same name. Kuala Terengganu is located about 500 kilometers northeast of Kuala Lumpur on a promontory surrounded on three sides by the South China Sea. The name means the "Terengganu Harbour", referring to the broad expanse of the Terengganu River estuary which empties into the ocean at this point. Kuala Terengganu is also the name of the parliamentary constituency in which the city is situated. The inhabitants of the city speak a distinct Terengganese dialect of Malay.

A family of Chinese traders who were trading between China and the Malay Peninsula established Kuala Terengganu as early as the 15th century. Soon after it was founded, the town grew into an important trading post between the two countries.[citation needed] However, after the Malacca Empire conquered the town, its influence as a leading port in the Southeast Asian region diminished as most of the traders preferred to stop at Melaka, which was the center of trade between China, India and Southeast Asia.

The oldest streets was called Kampung Cina (Chinatown), a settlement where buildings are hundreds of years old. After these very old buildings were threatened with demolition by the city the district was listed in the 1998 World Monuments Watch by the World Monuments Fund (WMF). The site was listed again in 2000 and 2002. In 1998, with funding from American Express, WMF helped Badan Warisan Malaysia (Heritage of Malaysia Trust) to develop a plan to improve the current shop structures. The organization prepared a conservation outline for a pilot project on No. 51/53 Jalan Bandar, and created a video to encourage the local community and others to take part in the preservation effort.

Pasar Payang Terengganu,Project

Market Payang Store is the focal point of the local community and tourists . Void coming to Rajasthan if not stopped to Market Shop Payang. This building is an icon and identity behind appearances embody harmony medium in Malay tradition of Rajasthan .

Since independence , many heritage being demolished in the name of development . Kuala Terengganu only saw the demolition of the Palace Pool , Market Shop Binjai, Tanjung Market , Great Clock Tower , and recently , Village Farms is the center of the copper industry Terengganu wiped from the map , which would follow Kris around Tanjung village and traditional villages the name of development .

Impact feared came true as a result of the transformation plan Payang Shop Market is :

1 . Loss of control of the ownership of the Malay community.
2 . Changes in rental rates due to the construction of new buildings causing more original tenant Shops Market Payang not afford to hire. Same fate as the Heritage Bazaar , can not be fully utilized .
3 . With the changing environment of medium and tradition to a more upscale atmosphere sales and exclusive , Payang Shop Market is no longer able to be the market of the people, the place where all walks of society status can spend. Because of the exclusive , then prices will be more expensive and manifold.
4 . Atmosphere Payang Shop Market moderate and consensus , the epitome of Malay culture and height will be difficult to sustain in the changing environment. We feel the originality of Malay cultural atmosphere has not changed since time immemorial at the Market Shops Payang now .
5 . Payang Shop Market is one of the icons of Malay pride . As the Chinese village that became the pride of the Chinese society , so too is Payang Shop Market .

It can not be pushed any renewal or repair of PWD own state as the dangers of market structure Payang Shop , tetapibiarlah suitable and affordable , while trying to preserve it.

Proven Heritage Island , where we stand , Where did actually called legacy ? What is the true legacy ? Rajasthan is losing his own identity and heritage . Increasingly replaced by inanimate treasures in museums and replicas are absolutely no heritage value .

Putrajaya Botanical Garden

Putrajaya Botanical Gardens is a must-see attraction if you are visiting the beautiful city of Putrajaya. There are eight major parks in the city which is sometimes referred to as a 'City in the Garden'. The Botanical Gardens is my favourite park.

I live quite close by so I have visited a number of times and with so many varied plants and trees on display which bloom or flower at different times of the year there is always something new to catch the eye.

Like the rest of the city of Putrajaya, the Botanical Gardens are still quite new having been planted on 230 acres of former agricultural land during the past decade. Unlike the established botanic gardens in places like Singapore and Penang which are well over 100 years old, Putrajaya's trees are not yet fully grown but the skilful planting of trees and shrubs, together with some well planned hard-landscaping have combined to create a pleasing appearance for the visitor.

Not to be missed are the Canna Walk, Fern Garden, Floral Steps, African Collection, Tropical America Collection, Hibiscus Walk, Bougainvillea Tunnel, Pandanus Walk, Orchid Path, Palm Hill, Vine Garden, and Heliconia Trail.

The hard landscaping includes a canopy bridge, a huge sundial, covered walkways, a lake boardwalk, gazebos and picnic shelters.

A superb addition is the exquisite Moroccan Pavilion which you can see inside for a fee of RM3 (admission to the park is free).

Other attractions include cycle hire, boating, an interactive exhibition and a tram ride for which separate fees apply.

You will no doubt be in need of refreshment after wandering around in all this fresh air. The Putrajaya Seafood Restaurant occupies a prime position on the lake front from where you can get a great view of the Prime Minister's office complex building.

Putrajaya Botanical Gardens

The Botanical Gardens are in the heart of the city close to the Istana Melawati (royal palace) and within walking distance of the Putrajaya Shangri-La Hotel. Plenty of parking is available.

 MY NAZA
Sungai janggut
Hi

Before I comment on the complaint Naza Citra , to sy
told that the advice or things being said sy
is based on my experience and the experience of friends sy
that in myself to sy .

About Naza Citra charge exorbitant fuel consumption. to
knowledge of all , the Naza image sy have since early this year and
have used this car to go back to penang . to travel
Citra sy 370 km only use oil of RM50 or more
About 1 km = RM0.135 . The neighbors in the housing homeless
sy about 5 people using Citra and they find use
Gasoline is about the same as Citra sy .

The car uses gasoline is too high . this problem is
related settings in the throttle body or in a box
computer . diagnosis should be done to trace the source of use
excess oil . From his description . pick up or acceleration
decline before the car accelerates . This shows he Citra
some excess oil in the combustion chamber . engine image
he suffered asphyxiation with minyak.Semua car
electronic injection system will definitely will experience problems
similar if not setting properly . Sums
wind and fuel oil perlula at an optimal rate for
savings . if we need more power without regard
the rate of fuel consumption, may also be setting for the use of oil
a little more but not to smother the spark plug.

Advice sy , to new car buyers , before the first service or
before you hit the car millage 1000 km, is the use of
oil is quite high because of the setting so that the engine can
burn properly and " cooked" . after the first service , usually
kaar oil consumption will be decreased to the level expected by
manufacturers . The way you drive can also affect fuel consumption
especially auto . Automatic cars have a way of driving
certain . Gear D , 3 , 2 , 1 and L are not the deliberately indulging in the making.
everything is functioning properly applied by the driver of
time to time.

My race is just a camp sy give as sharing experiences
sy .

6 ) Oil Giler LOUD ? I've installed NGV .
installation costs RM4, 600 - amik low spec ( iron barrel , semi- auto system have
converter ) .
but :
a) Road tax can be accounted to 25%
b ) Average fuel saving viewed RM340 - RM400 per month. Many years ago Dr. Shah Alam
Damansara Heights via NKVE go back jer work viewed RM600 per month.
Previous install NGV , the cost of oil in the RM200 to RM260 per month . 4 months already installed ,
've thousand more savings , even a one-year , already cover the installation cost .
Full Tank ( RM8.50 ) , can go 150km viewed .
c ) engine cleaner, the less said about carbon . Tak tak pulak taulah
ever bukak engine ( this may have to ask Mr. Oilyman ) . But a significantly
bersihlah spark plug , coat a little long lifespan .
d ) Pick-up less ? MMG is , even less viewed top speed of 20km / h. always first
run 160km / h top speed now 140/km/j .
But , occasionally there feeling like ngan car furry another kat h / way that, what else
press aje switch petrol, continue to come pick-up and take back the top speed . but
tu but when the engine is already clean , I could change the occasional petrol, can pi
up to 180km / h is not droop .
But in the first place , attach the article to conserve right , what it want speeding
plaque .
7 ) Braking System ? New brake pad change once ( back ) .
ABS & EBD ? excellent , already 3 times to save our lives .

Most important, we face problem , we are born with FREEDOM TO
CHOOSE .
So , exercise it . Dah first select Naza Citra, face the wisely. channel

Kuala Lumpur - Putrajaya HDR with sony

Pertama Complex

CIMB Building

Green Flat Putrajaya

From a practical standpoint, a modern digital sensor has about 7–9 stop tonal range. This doesn't allow us to capture wide tonal range images accurately. What we end up with in this case is an image that must favor either the shadows, or the highlights.

By using multiple exposures and merging them,  HDR allows us to extend that tonal range and capture detail all the way from the brightest highlights to the darkest shadows.

I refer to figure 1 again. In this image, we are able to see detail on the sunlit water, as well as in the shadows of the tree. If this had been shot with one capture, either the highlights would have been blown out, or the shadows would have blocked. This was shot as a 9 stop bracket, allowing good detail throughout.

There are two types of contrast ranges: Global and Localized.

The image above is an example of controlling Global contrast to achieve continuous detail throughout the image. In this case, we want to make the entire contrast range fit our output. Without this treatment, either end of the tonal range might be compromised.

But there are times when we come upon a scene that seems to have a normal tonal range, yet when we look at the file, we find that shadows have no "meat" to them or highlights are hot and lifeless.

Figure 2 is one such image. Seemingly, it has a soft tonal range, but in fact is a very complex image, encompassing at least two separate tonal ranges. This is an example of localized contrast. In it, we have the bright highlights on the steam pipes of the train. We also have micro contrast areas deep down in the shadows, which need to have detail. Global contrast is represented in the entire overall tonal range of the bright highlights down to the deep shadows. However, without attention to the localized contrast in the shadows, they would have died,

Even though this image was captured on a cloudy day, it still benefits from an HDR treatment. It is monochromatic. Yet because of all of the minute highlights and dark areas, it has  more contrast that one might think.

Sony NEX-5 and NEX-3 cameras

When we first heard that the Sony NEX-5 or NEX-3 can create merged images (they name it HDR) from multiple shots in camera we first expected this feature to be more of a marketing trick. It turns out to be quite real and useful instead. There are actually two possibilities to create HDR images with the NEX-5:

Create in camera merged images
Shoot bracketed photos with different exposures
Create in camera merged images

In this case the camera creates two images:

JPEG from the middle exposure
JPEG merged from 3 images. You can set the EV range from 1-6 EV. We mostly use 3 EV.
Before we show some samples lets look at the pros and cons.

Pro

NEX camera creates good quality merged images
The 7 fps of the NEX shooting helps that not much moves inside the frame during the shooting of all 3 exposures
Con

The middle exposure image cannot be saved as RAW (you have to shoot in JPEG Fine)
The processing takes some extra time. This means you have to wait to get the camera ready for the next shot
The images clearly need some post processing. Not sure this is really a con for us because it is hard to believe that the camera could do a perfect job. As the result the camera produces very soft and de-saturated images.
In the ideal world we would like to be able to get all exposures as RAW files and the merged image as well. If this would be too hard to implement then Sony should at least allow to get the middle exposure as a RAW file because we are not really happy with the NEX JPEG quality (shadows are way too much crushed for our taste).

Note: All sample photos in this article were shot freehand. Combined with the excellent NEX LCD this allows shooting positions that are hard to get with a tripod (e.g. overhead shots).
