From a small tin-mining company established in 1974, Sunway Group has thrived to become one of Malaysia’s most formidable property-construction groups, with a multitude of established businesses in more than 40 locations worldwide.


Sunway Group's core businesses consist of an Integrated Properties division which is a consolidation of its Property Development, Hospitality, Retail, Leisure and commercial properties in Malaysia as well as overseas. Other business divisions include Construction, Trading & Manufacturing, Quarry, Building Materials, Healthcare, Education and Information Technology.


The Group’s legendary development which has garnered international recognition is the thriving 800 acre Sunway Integrated Resort City in Bandar Sunway, an engineering tour de force, located a mere 20 minutes from Malaysia’s capital city of Kuala Lumpur. Water park

Water parks have grown in popularity since their introduction in the late 1940s and early 1950s. The United States has the largest and most concentrated water park market, with over a thousand water parks and dozens of new parks opening each year. Major organizations are IAAPA (International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions) and WWA (World Waterpark Association).

Water parks emerging from spas continue to more closely resemble mountain resorts as they become four-season destinations-for example, Splash Universe Water Park Resort, a member of the World Water Park Association, is themed to match the community in which it is located. The theme is intended to enhance the communities' destination appeal. Therefore, the amusement and leisure time industry is becoming more concentrated as winter sports are becoming commonplace themes in summertime water rides.

A process of concentration can be observed in the hybrid segments of theme-, amusement-, and water parks. Some water parks are more spa-oriented; e.g. Schwaben Quellen, a member of European Waterparks Association (EWA) has no water slides, but instead has many saunas, steam rooms, "adventure showers", and relaxation-oriented water play areas.[citation needed]

From 2000's, popular water parks were disclosed by long wait line problems of attractions. To solve this problem, some water parks adapt conveyor belt to lift passengers or use water jets.

A unique feature at a water park is ice skating. Deep River Waterpark in northwestern Indiana features ice skating thanks to cooling pipes that were added under their massive plaza during a recent expansion.

Not only is Sunway Lagoon your one-stop fun destination, it is also a multi-award winning attraction. Having been the winner of the Best Tourist Attraction 2007 from Tourism Malaysia, Sunway Lagoon also won the Asia’s Best Attraction Award from the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) from 2007-2009.

All these excitements are just within 15 minutes reach from Kuala Lumpur city centre, easily accessed through a network of expressways – the Federal Highway, Damansara-Puchong Expressway (LDP), New Pantai Expressway (NPE) and the KESAS Highway.

Additionally, Sunway Pyramid has since opened its new ramps providing access to and from the New Pantai Expressway directly into and out of Sunway Pyramid, ensuring the congestion previously caused by visitors to one of Selangor’s most visited attractions is alleviated and traffic is smooth flowing both towards Kuala Lumpur and Subang Jaya. In total, Sunway Pyramid’s car park will be accessible from six different entrances.

Also available is 8,000 integrated parking bays with a state-of-the-art Car Park Guiding System which has a red/green light to guide motorists to the nearest available parking bay. The car park is also equipped with traffic count signage to indicate directions where there are available parking bays.
